KIKULETWA HOT SPRING (CHEMKA)
Kikuletwa Hot Springs or mostly known as Chemka Hot Spring is situated in dazzling Rundugai Village that is in the middle of Moshi and Arusha. The town with the stupendous hot spring makes it an ideal entryway for a road trip while visiting Tanzania. The place offers delightful normal environmental factors, protected and clean water to take a jump in. The characteristic pool encompassed by the stunning foundations of fig trees isn’t much crowded and you can enjoy a BBQ or delicious nearby lunch after taking a swim inside the warm water.
In the center of a semi-dry landscape stands this desert spring of rambling fig trees that surround crystal-clear water that gushes from deep underground, giving the impression that it is bubbling, thus the name “Natural aquifers.” The water is perfectly reviving, so bring your swimsuit and take a plunge, then relax under the shady trees.
A little desert garden just a short drive off the main road between Moshi and Arusha, the Kikuletwa underground aquifers are the perfect place to relax and one of the best activities in the Arusha and Moshi area. And as it’s not just the destination that matters, the journey to the hot springs is one to remember too. Several roads lead here, and we’ll pick the best one depending on the season.
You’ll drive through sunflower fields in May and June and through a sea of red flowers and sugarcane toward the year’s end, at TPC Sugar Estate, Moshi. And on clear days, you’re in for some breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, regardless of the season.
